CXI Enhanced FIS Unit (EFU 4U) for Audi with Trip Computer
For Audi model manufactured before 99 to July 2001*, 3 wire mode.
EFU operating on a German Audi with FIS (Trip Computer). The 2nd picture shows the actual EFU unit without the wiring harness, the matchbox is used as a size reference.
Introduction
This EFU (Enhanced Driver Information Unit) is developed by CXI in Germany. It allows you to read data right on your trip computer. The starter kit allows you to read critical information such as oil temperature, turbo boost, Valentine One display, voltage and speed. There are max audible alarm function for each sensor.
For those who are on a budget, you can start with the Boost kit. It includes everything in the starter kit, except the oil temperature sensor and V1 display.

All sensors are monitor at all time! Even when sensors are not displayed. Alarm is trigger if its value exceeded for 1/2 second.
Sampling of 4 times per second for display / logging purpose.
Data display is smooth out with a math funciton (hysterese).
Alarm can be triggered faster then within 0.1 second.
Radio information still displayed, if selected and you still have your Audi radio
Stock radio is not required for the EFU to function.
Digital setup for the sensors, result in easy calibration if needed.
Easy upgrade from 3LB to CAN and vice versa, because of its modular concept.

Efu button will provide all function of V1 Remote display in V1 mode. (including mute)
User can adjust from Bar to Psi, °C to °F, and KMH to MPH (and vice versa).
Include all the necessary part for a successful install. The 2nd picture is the wiring harness to bridge to your stock radio.
* EFU has been tested on A3, S3, A4, S4,RS4, A6, A8, All-Road, and TT in Germany, and S4(2000-2002 B5 Body) in USA. A8 use the same trip computer as A4. Please inquire with us. Also if you have installed a Nav plus display with a cluster display, you will be most likely running in CAN mode.
